Disappointed...sort of.

So today DBF wanted to go look at a new edger for the lawn (he's been so helpful...I think it's been five years since the lawn was edged. I mean, why edge?) I offered to drive in my car because he still doesn't know his way around this side of town. But I had an ulterior motive...we were going to be driving right by the movie theatre where "The Hunger Games" was being shown. This came as quite a surprise to him...and it's one of those male things, because I'd been talking about the movie all day. Anyway, he agreed to take me even though, as he repeatedly said, science fiction isn't his thing. So, after some griping about the $30 price tag for the movie, in we go. It's one of those 18+ movie theatres and it's packed with teens. Well, not exactly packed with teens. Every row had dozens of seats that were empty, but they were all being "saved" for their "friends". Now I'm an old lady. I was a teen once. I kind of understand teens. But these seats were not exactly assigned seats. There were literally not two seats together, except in the very front of the theatre. This did NOT go down well with DBF. So we got the money back and left. I still don't know what to make of the "saving for friends" deal. I mean, every row????

You really need to get into the cinema early and 'save' seats for your friends - that would confuse the teenagers no end!!! Least you managed to have your money refunded...
