"Comfortable without looking like pajamas"

A friend of mine is going on an extensive trip and wrote that she is making clothes that would be "comfortable without looking like pajamas".  Well, I'm  going on an extensive trip and it occurred to me that the clothes I planned to make do look exactly like pajamas.  But they are certainly going to be comfortable.  Ponte knits, for the most part, matchy-matchy as you see above.  Being me, I'll glam it up and hopefully reduce the "pajama" impact.  I'm especially pleased with the ballet neckline on this outfit. I used the Pamela's Patterns "many necklines" template to draft onto my Connie Crawford pattern (with huge bust darts). But I think I like the Palmer/Plesch pattern (no bust darts), that I've used so many times, just as well. It has more of a waist definition still has a good fit at the bust.  I feel I am inching toward the perfect tee pattern, with a variety of neckline treatments.

Nothing wrong with this outfit - looks very wearable for a trip.

An extensive trip! How exciting...any hints on the destination for the rest of us to be jealous over???
And your outfit doesn't look PJ'e at all! Love this look...

No way...who would say such a thing??? Outrageous.

You never look that comfortable, er sloppy. I'll bet you look glam even in your actual PJs.

Anyway these are gorgeous on you. Love the bling. Bring on more bling!

Yes, Martha, I wonder who would say that? Anyway, thanks for making me think twice about my comfortable knit outfits!

You look wonderful-more glam! :-)

I have given up trying to look ready for public and comfortable while traveling. Each year we pack the trailer, throw the dogs in the truck and climb into a clean cab. Withing 1 mile, there are white hairs drifting toward my lovely black knit pants.
