Sewing for the puzzle

As I mentioned, I'm going on a six week cruise that will involve Caribbean beaches, strolling the streets of major European cities, climbing over dusty ruins, visits to the Vatican and Saint Peter's (modest dress),  Muslim cities (even more modest dress), and finally returning across the Atlantic in December, including of course several "dressy" evening meals.  All with one large and one small suitcase.  Since I couldn't sleep last night I had a brainstorm which I hope will work.   I'm going to photograph each individual item I'm planning to bring along and then paste them into collages of how they go together.  This may be a lot of work:  possibly more time than I'm willing to invest, since I'm still sewing away without my main machine (in the shop).  But doesn't that sound organized?  Or will this be a case of "good intentions"?  Stay tuned.  In the meantime, I had another good brainwave.  I had leftover ITY jersey from a top I made and I looked at it closely.  Yes, enough to make a Gorgeous Gore skirt.  So that's on the cutting table.  One top, one skirt in a print.  Match with one top, one skirt in black and that's four outfits.  And so it goes.

Wow, just reading your itinerary sounds like delightful fun. I'm impressed you're doing all of that sewing without your main machine.
