Style Arc Eva top and Diana skirt: My version of a dress.
I love to dance. It is easy and practical to dance in a full circle skirt, and since I've found the Diana skirt from Style Arc I feel no need to reinvent the wheel and have made it countless times. I use a knit so don't need to have a different fabric for the busk (which the pattern calls for). This time I paired the skirt with the Eva top. I made this top about a year ago but of course I forgot how I inserted the crazy neckline. This time I ended up doing it exactly opposite of how the instructions were written, but it all worked out. I did not sew the two ends of the binding together and then insert the neck piece (it's late and I can't remember the correct term). Instead I started sewing together at center back and left it open until I gathered the bodice to fit, then hand sewed the ends of the neck piece. It's fine that way and I didn't have to work my brain too hard. I wore the outfit to the Easter dance this evening and had a great time!
