And further construction notes: I used the Robin pattern from Style Arc for the top and my TNT Elle pants pattern from the same company. However, the Elle pants are made for knits. This is a linen/poly woven. The top is easy (I omitted the zipper), but as I found, I need to go to the bathroom well before I really need to go to the bathroom, because it takes about two minutes to wiggle these pants down. Hopefully I'll remember next time to grade up the waist.
Although this is the 17th garment I've made so far this year, I really haven't been sewing much lately. I've had a problem with my back which doesn't want to go away, but mostly I've been getting ready to go on vacation. Packing today and leaving tomorrow, so stay tuned for some hopefully wonderful pictures.

Can you unpick the side seams and put in an inverted vee of fabric? Or perhaps a zip?
Some of my stretch woven shave been the most difficult to get up and down because of the waistband. I made an Elle pair where I used a medium weight knit for the waistband and they are so much easier to manage. Hope your back feels better soon.
A zip! This is why I love comments, I never would have thought of a zipper. Thanks!
Nice fit!
Pretty, fresh, cool and yes a little nursey. Understand about the sewing decline. Minor health issues are doing the same thing to me. Some days I am just so tired I don't want to move from my easy chair.
cavorting ducks...hahahaaa I understand your disappointment as I just threw away my muslin for the DOS Kimono Waist blouse. Oh my, did I look dumpy. Nice sewing, and you can wear each separately?
Well the two pieces worn together do make you look tall and lean, but the color argh! You look so good in colors, reds and blue, etc. Maybe you can make these again with some color.
