June Capsule Contest Finished!

Jalie Sweetheart top in poly/lycra print from Gorgeous Fabrics; TNT pant in deep raspberry linen from Textile Fabrics, Nashville. Light pink cotton interlock self-drafted tee and light pink (we'll call it strawberry for the purposes of the Capsule) TNT pants in poly/cotton blend from JoAnne fabrics. I made the necklace from stuff from Michael's. We had the month of June to complete this mini-wardrobe and it seemed like plenty of time when I started. I had to race to finish, though. The plan originally called for two tops made from beautiful fabric I bought on my trip to Nashville at Textile Fabrics. But I wanted to make a muslin before I cut into that expensive stuff. Well, the muslin is still sitting on my sewing table. So I did a quick wearable muslin of the Jalie Sweetheart top in a poly/lycra print from Gorgeous Fabrics. Some people are afraid to sew on knits. I have more trouble, it seems, with plain cotton fabric and no fear when it comes to knits. Guess it was all that training with Stretch n Sew back in the 60's!

Way to go Carole! Wow I love it all! I really must get that Jalie sweetheart pattern and make one for myself. And your necklace is beautiful, I really can't beleive you made it. Professional looking design.

Good for you for finishing! You were smart, too, for waiting on the muslin and other fabrics and changing your plans to fabrics you were more comfortable with. You look lovely in all those berry tones.
