Happy Independence Day

As a history major, one of my passions was the American Revolution. I could cite chapter and verse, name the eight people shot in the Boston "Massacre", give the bio of Paul Revere, John Adams, etc. Naturally I've forgotton all the details. But what has stayed with me all of my life is an appreciation of the genius of our forefathers in structuring a government "for the people, by the people". Unheard of in it's day, revolutionary in thought, immeasurable in sacrifice. Take a moment to be grateful for all those who gave their lives, their fortune, and their sacred honor for the freedom of these United States of America.
