Blue Willow Inn

The Blue Willow Inn is a famous (at least in Georgia) beautiful old plantation house in Social Circle, Georgia. It's set in lovely gardens, and serves a buffet groaning with Southern staples. Fried chicken, meatloaf, ham, collard greens, corn, green beens, sweet potatoe casserole, mashed potatoes, biscuits and/or cornbread, and a dozen different desserts. We ate our fill, washed down by sweet tea, and then went antiquing on the one street in town. It's an hour and a half drive from our Atlanta area, so by the time I got home I was pretty tired. We agreed we've now been there, done that. It's on the way to Savannah and Hilton Head, so a good place to stop if we're going in that direction.
