Sewing Retreat

Our local sewing guild has an annual retreat every fall, and I always try to go since it's a lot of fun. We use a camp that's been built for children with physical challenges, and when they are not booked for that purpose I'm sure they welcome the small fees they make from our group (plus an extra donation we take up). The group was smaller this year than last year, which made it easier to get to know people a little better. The dormitories are fun because they are built in the round---sort of a modified dome. Very efficient, with the core being several shower and separate toilet rooms. The beds are horrible, though, so one weekend is enough. I made the Loes Hines' zipper jacket as a wearable muslin. I am heartily sick of the fabric by now  It still needs hemming.. I also had time to cut out the lining for the bodice of a new gown for dancing. I leave for a cruise next Friday so I'll test that pattern in a knit for a casual top to take with me.

A sewing retreat is the most wonderful time! Love how your jacket looks.

The fabric of your jacket looks like the same fabric I used for my still unfinished Chanel jacket. I can't decide what type of trim to use on my jacket. Have fun on your cruise!
