KC had a giveaway on her terffic blog, and I happened to win with a comment. I quickly, and I mean quickly, received a copy of David Coffin's book Shirtmaking, which book is apparently a staple of every really good sewist's library. Never having been a really good sewist, I did not want to invest in such a book. Now that I am a member of the Couture Sewing Group of Atlanta (ahem!) I do, however, at least aspire to become a good sewist and therefore am proud to be the owner of this book. I promise to read this (well, mostly...some of it is still way beyond my skill level) and maybe someday I'll be worthy of owning it. Thank you, Kristen! Aren't internet sewing buddies the best?
