Slowly getting back on track

Other than losing a tennis match, taking the kids to the fair, and going dancing one night this weekend, I have been a vegetable.  This was one rip-roaring cold and I had to take a day between each event to recover.  Needless to say, there has been no sewing around my house.  I'm in the midst of changing seasons for my clothes, but the weather has not been cooperating with my plan.  It's going to be 80 degrees next week, the first week of October.  Yes, I believe in global warming.  So as a result I have lots of summer clothes left in my closets...we're also going on a Caribbean cruise in November, so those clothes have to have their own space...but meanwhile I'm cramming in winter clothes as I open box after box.  What I really need is to be more ruthless about culling.  I fear that a closet rod is going to break if I don't get serious.  But really, I do need lots of tennis warm ups (bulky) but hate to put away those cute tennis skirts I made (hangars are bulky) and five black cotton turtleneck shirts aren't too many...who am I kidding?  I'm just a clothes hoarder.

I am glad you are feeling better! I envy you your October in the 80s--we're expected to greet October with temperatures over 100 here in SoCal!
