Sunday Zip Jacket

This is the jacket I'm working on.  Sigh.  It's harder than I thought it would be, mainly because the sleeves are giving me fits at the moment.  You have to know which sleeve fits where, of course, and the (minimal) directions call for sewing up the side seams first.  I NEVER sew the side seams of a sleeve first, preferring to fit them in "the flat" as the term goes.  Then of course the hood fits in there somewhere.  I was too tired last night to figure it all out, as I have a persistent, if small, leak in my basement and of course it's rained for three straight days.  I can't tell you the zillion steps I've taken to fix the leak, but the search continues for a solution that will allow me to sleep through the night without getting up and running downstairs to see what the situation is (lately, always bad).  Today at Home Depot I bought yet more downspout extenders, tarps, DampRid, etc., etc....it's always something with an older home.  But to amuse me a little bit, or does it?:

Later, an update:  I should know by now not to second guess StyleArc.  I put the sleeves in by first sewing up the side seams and of course they fit like a dream.  I've also extended the fronts by about 5 inches as a)  I'm not the size I thought I was, boo hoo, and b) although fleece, this fabric does not stretch.  But it's going to be a cute jacket.  Maybe some pictures soon, but tomorrow is too busy to sew.

Goodness, I hope you manage to sort out your leak - I love the jacket pattern, so look forward to seeing it.
